Ingredients

  • Himalayan Pink Salt - 1 pinch
  • Rice - 100 g
  • Milk - 500 ml
  • Sugar - 80 g
  • Vanilla Beans - 1 pod

Directions

  • Step 1

    Rinse rice under cold water until water runs clear.

  • Step 2

    In a saucepan, combine milk, rice, salt, vanilla seeds and the scraped pod.

  • Step 3

    Bring to a gentle simmer over medium heat, stirring often to prevent sticking.

  • Step 4

    Cook until rice is tender and mixture thickens (about 10 minutes).

  • Step 5

    Remove from heat and stir in sugar until dissolved.

  • Step 6

    Discard vanilla pod and spoon into bowls.

  • Step 7

    Serve warm or chilled.
