This Caprese pasta salad is a fresh twist on the classic Italian salad. Made with al dente pasta, sweet cherry tomatoes, creamy fresh mozzarella, and fragrant basil leaves, all tossed in a tangy balsamic vinaigrette. Perfect as a quick lunch, light dinner, or tasty side dish.

Ingredients
- Garlic - 1 clove
- Cherries - 200 g
- Pasta - 250 g
- Mozzarella - 150 g
- Salt - 0.5 tsp
- Pepper - 0.25 tsp
- Olive Oil - 30 ml
- Vinegar - 15 ml
- Basil - 15 g
Directions
Step 1
Cook 250 g pasta (fusilli or penne) according to package instructions. Drain and rinse with cold water to cool.
Step 2
In a large bowl, combine cooled pasta with 200 g halved cherry tomatoes, 150 g fresh mozzarella balls (bocconcini), and a handful (15 g) of chopped fresh basil.
Step 3
In a small bowl, whisk together 30 ml olive oil, 15 ml balsamic vinegar, 1 minced garlic clove, 0.5 tsp salt, and 0.25 tsp black pepper.
Step 4
Pour dressing over pasta mixture and gently toss to combine.
Step 5
Refrigerate briefly or serve immediately garnished with additional basil leaves.

For extra flavor, add sliced olives or a sprinkle of chili flakes.
