Ingredients

  • Rice - 100 g
  • Milk - 500 ml
  • Sugar - 50 g
  • Cinnamon - 1 tsp

Directions

  • Step 1

    Rinse the rice under cold water.

  • Step 2

    In a saucepan, combine milk, rice, sugar, and cinnamon.

  • Step 3

    Bring to a gentle boil over medium heat, then reduce to low and simmer for 40–45 minutes, stirring occasionally.

  • Step 4

    When the rice is tender and the mixture has thickened, remove from heat.

  • Step 5

    Divide into serving bowls and let cool slightly.

  • Step 6

    Chill in the refrigerator for at least 30 minutes before serving.

Cook's Notes

For extra creaminess, stir in a splash of cream or top with a sprinkle of nutmeg.
