Ingredients
- Lentils - 200 g
- Vegetable Broth - 1 l
- Garlic - 3 cloves
- Tomatoes - 200 g
- Celery - 2 stalks
- Onion - 1 pc
- Carrots - 2 pcs
- Salt - 1 tsp
- Pepper - 0.5 tsp
- Cumin - 1 tsp
- Bay Leaves - 2 pcs
- Olive Oil - 30 ml
Directions
Step 1
Rinse the lentils under cold water.

In a large pot, heat olive oil and sauté chopped onion and garlic until softened.

Add diced carrots and celery, and cook for 5 minutes.

Stir in the lentils, tomatoes, bay leaves, and cumin.

Pour in the vegetable broth, season with salt and pepper, and bring to a boil.

Reduce heat and simmer for 30-40 minutes until the lentils are tender.
